The multibillion new facility was officially launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta who was accompanied by Joe Mucheru, the cabinet secretary of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affair among other notable dignitaries.
The cutting-edge facility was built in line with Microsoft global standards as it looks to become carbon negative by 2030. The facility boasts of self-heating windows, a mini solar plant, and a water treatment facility to recycle and purify water. The eco-friendly office also optimizes space utilization, air conditioning and lighting adjustments.
